Aunque en la mayor\u00eda de los casos no presenta s\u00edntomas, puede tener consecuencias graves si no se controla a tiempo: aumenta el riesgo de infartos, ACV y enfermedades renales.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>El cardi\u00f3logo <strong>Alejandro Meretta<\/strong>, jefe de Cardiolog\u00eda Nuclear del Instituto Cardiovascular (ICBA), explic\u00f3 que <em>\u201cla hipertensi\u00f3n no da s\u00edntomas claros, por eso se la llama la enfermedad silenciosa. Muchas veces se la asocia con dolores de cabeza, pero eso ocurre en pocos casos y no siempre coincide con los picos de presi\u00f3n\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La presi\u00f3n arterial se mide en <strong>mil\u00edmetros de mercurio (mmHg)<\/strong> y se expresa con dos valores: el <strong>sist\u00f3lico<\/strong>, que indica la presi\u00f3n cuando el coraz\u00f3n late, y el <strong>diast\u00f3lico<\/strong>, que refleja la presi\u00f3n entre latidos. Lo ideal, seg\u00fan la cardi\u00f3loga <strong>Kalpa De Silva<\/strong>, del Hospital London Bridge, es mantener los valores <strong>por debajo de 140\/90 mmHg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque existen tratamientos farmacol\u00f3gicos, <strong>adoptar h\u00e1bitos saludables<\/strong> puede marcar una gran diferencia. A continuaci\u00f3n, los <strong>nueve cambios m\u00e1s efectivos<\/strong> para mantener la presi\u00f3n bajo control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udca7 1. Reducir el consumo de alcohol<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Beber en exceso eleva la presi\u00f3n arterial, incluso con cantidades moderadas. Investigaciones internacionales muestran que una sola copa diaria puede tener impacto negativo. Lo recomendable es <strong>limitar el consumo a no m\u00e1s de tres copas de vino tinto por semana<\/strong> y evitar las ingestas continuas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfcb\ufe0f 2. Hacer ejercicios de fuerza o isom\u00e9tricos<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Los ejercicios isom\u00e9tricos \u2014como mantener una posici\u00f3n de esfuerzo durante unos minutos\u2014 reducen la presi\u00f3n m\u00e1s que el ejercicio aer\u00f3bico tradicional.<br>\ud83d\udc49 Ejemplos \u00fatiles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Agarre de mano con dinam\u00f3metro durante 2 minutos por mano, a diario.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sentadillas contra la pared, 4 repeticiones de 2 minutos, tres veces por semana.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf6b 3. Incluir chocolate negro<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Comer uno o dos cuadraditos de chocolate con <strong>70% o m\u00e1s de cacao<\/strong> mejora la funci\u00f3n de los vasos sangu\u00edneos gracias a los flavonoides. Estudios de la Universidad de Surrey comprobaron que reduce la presi\u00f3n especialmente en personas con valores elevados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\udd6c 4. Incorporar alimentos fermentados<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>El <strong>k\u00e9fir, kimchi, chucrut y miso<\/strong> fortalecen la microbiota intestinal y contribuyen a bajar la presi\u00f3n sist\u00f3lica y diast\u00f3lica. Acompa\u00f1arlos con frutas, verduras y cereales integrales potencia su efecto protector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\uddc2 5. Bajar el consumo de sal<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>El 75% del sodio que ingerimos proviene de alimentos procesados. Leer etiquetas, evitar comidas preparadas y reducir embutidos o snacks industriales ayuda a normalizar la presi\u00f3n.<br>\ud83d\udd39 Se recomienda <strong>no superar los 6 gramos diarios<\/strong> (una cucharadita rasa).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf4c 6. Aumentar el potasio y el magnesio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ambos minerales ayudan a equilibrar el sodio y mejorar la salud vascular. Est\u00e1n presentes en <strong>bananas, verduras de hoja verde, batatas, tomates, frutos secos, semillas y legumbres<\/strong>.<br>El <strong>Servicio Nacional de Salud Brit\u00e1nico<\/strong> recomienda <strong>300 mg de magnesio diarios para hombres y 270 mg para mujeres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf75 7. Tomar t\u00e9 de hibiscus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Dos tazas diarias de esta infusi\u00f3n rica en antioxidantes pueden <strong>reducir la presi\u00f3n sist\u00f3lica entre 5 y 7 mmHg<\/strong>. Sus compuestos naturales protegen los vasos sangu\u00edneos y evitan su contracci\u00f3n excesiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf3e 8. Incorporar semillas de lino molidas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Con 30 a 50 gramos por d\u00eda, las <strong>semillas de lino<\/strong> aportan \u00e1cidos grasos omega-3, fibra y fitoestr\u00f3genos, que ayudan a regular la presi\u00f3n y el colesterol.
