En el departamento el\u00e9ctrico se les antoj\u00f3 que remozando un coche el\u00e9ctrico de los primeros que se usaron y que ten\u00edan cuerpo de madera podr\u00eda hacerlo figurar como <em>\u201ctotalmente fabricado en la Argentina\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>El afortunado fue el M P 51 (motor primera): se lo limpi\u00f3 a fondo, todo lo que era de bronce fue niquelado, pero no tuvieron la precauci\u00f3n de borrar las marcas de f\u00e1brica. En el interior del sal\u00f3n se renov\u00f3 el piso, se cambi\u00f3 el tapizado de los asientos, y tambi\u00e9n las l\u00e1mparas recibieron lo suyo. Y as\u00ed sali\u00f3 a la l\u00ednea, con la leyenda, <em>\u201ctotalmente fabricado en la Argentina\u201d<\/em>. Cualquiera podr\u00e1 imaginar que no todos se tragaron el sapo, y el M P 51 volvi\u00f3 a la l\u00ednea sin pena ni gloria.<\/p>\n<p>Agonizaba la se\u00f1ora Eva Per\u00f3n en la residencia presidencial de la calle Austria en la capital. Debemos suponer que la paciente estar\u00eda alojada en una habitaci\u00f3n interior lejos del bullicio callejero. No obstante, a alguien se le ocurri\u00f3 que el silbato de las locomotoras y las bocinas de los trenes que corr\u00edan entre Retiro y Empalme Maldonado podr\u00edan alterar el descanso de la se\u00f1ora, entonces se prohibi\u00f3 a todos los conductores que utilizaran el silbato y las bocinas. Incluso la estaci\u00f3n debi\u00f3 silenciar sus campanas, que autorizaban la partida de los trenes.<\/p>\n<p>Una vez fallecida la se\u00f1ora Eva Per\u00f3n, y terminado con todos los actos en su honor, a alguien de la Uni\u00f3n Ferroviaria se le ocurri\u00f3 que algo faltaba, entonces, en su homenaje, se dispuso que durante un mes todos los trenes del pa\u00eds pararan 5 minutos, entre las 13,25 y las 13,30. En la estaci\u00f3n Borges, el jefe Rufino Molvert, ensimismado en terminar con las cuentas de fin de mes, al detenerse un tren, fue a la puerta y al ver que todo estaba dispuesto despach\u00f3 el tren con dos toques de campana.<\/p>\n<p>Corri\u00f3 el guarda \u00a1Jefe, estamos de paro! Se celebr\u00f3 una reuni\u00f3n con el guarda segundo y el motorman y todos prometieron silencio, nadie en el tren lo advirti\u00f3. A los dos o tres d\u00edas, un amigo de la gerencia lo llam\u00f3 y le dijo: <em>\u201cRufino jubilate por que te echan\u201d<\/em>. El se\u00f1alero lo hab\u00eda denunciado, su ambici\u00f3n era llegar primero y ganar puntos.<\/p>\n<p>Rufino, con a\u00f1os de servicio y edad suficientes, pudo jubilarse. Porque una cosa era jubilarse con una renuncia y otra muy dif\u00edcil con una cesant\u00eda.
